A beautiful Journey

Katie looked beautiful as she strolled down the scenic pathway that lead to the beginning of the rest of her life. Tears streamed unabashedly down her face.

Which made my cousin Matt get teary.

Their preacher was the perfect combination of sincerity and humor.

The Kiss.

The "Hooray we did it!" We are all so happy for them!

The girl side of the family in attendance minus Candi and Julie. We Wish they were with us.

The Happy Couple.

Here is the step father of the groom in his golf cart with his mother. So Cute!

The Stuff:
They had cold water to drink once you reached the gazebo- I thought this was such an awesome touch.
The program
The Flowers

Their equivalent to the "unity candle" was the vase with colored sand representing the blending of their lives.

The ring pillow
The card box

dinner place cards- so elegant

Center piece- Tiffany and I couldn't stop talking about how nicely everything was done.

The menu and party favor that won't rotate. The table settings were just perfectly beautiful.

There is a better one of the menu! The food was so yummy! I talked Mikey into giving me the food he didn't eat- I am big and preggo you know- eating for two never tasted so good!

Cocktail Hour:
Included lots of chit chat, an open bar, coconut shrimp, caviar and tiny potatoes and bruscheta. (sp?)
My beautiful Grandma.
All the men in attendance from our side of the family (Kai was at home with the kiddos so I could attend. It was very sweet of him though I wish we were able to be together.)
Love this picture of them:

The Young and eligible- except Sean in the back:)
The caviar and mini potato

Yummy.

The First Dance:

Cutting the cake

smash . . .

The bouquet toss:
The garter toss

Matt told us he was aiming for our side:) Ryan caught the garter and the n the MC said "Is that guy even of marrying age?!" It was awesome!

The Family . . .

We made lots of wonderful memories during this lovely event! We are so happy for Matt and Katie. They are wonderful together and we are so glad we got to share in their special day. They both looked so amazing and the whole evening was beautifully planned!
I want to remember:
* Chris raising his hand when the preacher asked who was thinking about getting married.
*Mikey's back and fourth dance moves on the dance floor.
*Mikey touching the sweaty bald guys head on the dance floor and walking away like he wasn't the one who touched it and having the bald guy thin it was Tiffany who touched him.
*Having a great time with my cousin, Tiffany, as my "date"
*The brides made who wanted to ask Chris to dance but didn't because she thought he was engaged because he raised his hand when the preacher asked who was thinking about marriage.
*Dancin' the night away as an extended family.
* A fun night with family!!!!
One more CA post to go to wrap this up!

How do you condense a really big trip?

Chris came home from his mission (Kenniwick, WA) and he and Ryan had to have a wrestling match to see who the top dog was after two years. Ryan pinned Chris pretty quickly, but Chris got Ryan in the end. It was pretty even- I bet CHris has a new determination to hit the gym so that doesn't ever happen again.
Everyone loved being back with their Uncle. They hardly ever left his side and that made Chris start to think twice about wanting kids of his own:) Chris is having a little bit of a hard time adjusting to real life, I think it got a little better everyday. He wished they had a missionary debriefing in the MTC before you actually went home. He did enjoy surfing again though and caught the most waves the first day they were out- he said it was by sheer willpower and determination. Me and Kai also got to take him shopping for some post mission clothing:)

Bubba Loves going to Grammy and Papa's house to see his uncles- it is the only place he is not out numbered by girls!
In the picture above Cambria is smiling through her tears- she hates to say good-bye.
Below is the sibling picture (Chris made sure we stood in birth order)- I can't remeber the last time we had one all together. It isn't too often that we are all in the same part of the nation.

Below: Another sibling picture:) The "Chocolates."

Lexi and Kiera were hiding from this picture because they were plotting how to stay together- Otherwise it would have been the siblings and their families:)
