Another Davis Wedding went down in history last weekend. Brother number nine (a.k.a Zach) had the good sense to marry a girl named Gema who just happens to be as sweet as honey and sings like an angel.
The wedding went down in a little Cathlolic Church in a historic part of Las Vegas (at least that is what the sign said and the houses around the church were really cool).
Gema looked stunning in a strapless lace gown and Zach looked handsome in his black tux and dangling ti leaf. All grown up.
I do think, however, that all of our little kiddos were more than this church was willing to handle. With 21 grandchildren sitting in the congregation, we weren't very quiet- though we all tried. Cathy said she saw the Church matron cringing every time one of the little ones made a noise. - Sorry!!!!
I did get to make good use of my telephoto lens- though some of the pictures are blurry- sorry again!!

The big ol' noisy clan:)
On the way home from Vegas, we stopped by the mall (which is a huge thoing for my kiddos since there is nothing like a mall remotely close to us and certainly no escalator) The kids were in awe. We needed o buy some dance shoes and wanted to check out Payless. Sadly, Payless was on the second floor. Not really a big deal if your ACL is fine and dandy and the ascending escalator is working.
In my case my ACL is not fine and the escalator going up was out-of-order. Sigh. How bad did I want dance shoes. Bad. I basically had to climb the escalator like a ladder. I pulled myself up hand over hand trying my best to use my good leg to catapult me up each gigantic step. I was sweating when I got to the top and not feeling very happy.
Guess what, this particular payless didn"t have any dance shoes.
******************************************************** Yep.
But the descending escalator was working and it was easy to get down. Some well groomed bald guy in a brit orange shirt was riding down behind me and told me that I had a very strong aura. Something about red and blue colors signifying a huge transition. He handed me his card. Gotta love Vegas. I
Next, with a car full of starving kids, we headed towards the Golden Arches of McDonald's.
Malchi took a few pictures . . .
Kiera wondered where the "D" was . . .
Next was the reception . . .
It started at 6 and word on the street is that it went until about 2:30AM. We left at 9:00 after a great time.
There were so many beautiful touches. I git to make a lot of the decore (with a lot of halp from my good buddy Ashley!) Look at that beautiful cake. (no, I didn't make it)
Cambria got herself into a little trouble at the reception and had to be tied . . . at least that is what Kiera said.
Bubba took more pictures . . .
Classic Raia . . .Can you see the brocoli in her mouth that she is trying to show you. Ah, she is such a dainty little flower.
Kiera being attacked by Cambria, most likey revenge for the whole tying business . . .
Kiana wanted us to cry because she was not allowed to come spend the night at our house. After we cried, she comforted us with hugs and promises to come spend the night another time.
The big girls made the little girls feel so very special by dancing with them
Me and the hubs . . . he was really having a good time . . .
One of the cute little banners me and Ash made . . .
One of the cute little wreaths I made . . .
Raia giving me lots of help while I was making things (sorry Grandma, she isn't clothed, but I am sure she was later)
A cute little pillow that I made for Zach and Gema . . . okay I didn't really make it I just added the little jewels that say "ZG" for obvious reasons . . .
And now . . . a few more faces from the wedding, I tried to get as many people as I could with my telephoto lens. Those who are not pictured were either out of range or angled the wrong way.

And a cute little chalk board I made out of an old cupboard that Lori F. gave me before she moved and the other wreath that I made for the occasion. It was so fun to have an excuse to make cute things!
It was a great time. So glad we could witness Zach and Gema unite themselves in holy matrimony. I know they will have a long and beautiful life together!
